  1. Minimize every window you have open
  2. Hit Prt Scrn
  3. Go into the picture editing program of your choice(Paint, GIMP, Photoshop, etc.)
  4. Hit Ctrl+V
  5. Save the image
  6. Go to an image uploading site (imageshack, photobucket, etc.)
  7. Upload the image
  8. Right click on the picture
  9. Click on 'Properties' from the dropdown menu
  10. Copy the URL located beside the words Address: (URL)
  11. Post in this thread

No cleaning up (moving/deleting/hiding files) or changing your desktop picture. The picture should be exactly what your desktop was when you opened this thread.
Unless you're using an iPod Touch as your computer monitor, link to your desktop rather than posting the image directly.

Anyway, I have to present two different perspectives, obviously for and against the death penalty. I'm allowed to be biased and I'm supposed to convince the audience that one perspective is better. So, I've chosen to argue against the death penalty and things seem to be going smoothly.

In order to promote discussion (and not just to give me ideas!), why do you think that we should/shouldn't have the death penalty?

I could hear my cage-mate, Megan, pawing her way up to the cage bars and weakly scratching at them with her red paws. The effort was fruitless, though, as the bars failed to cave in. No matter how many times we tried attacking the bars, we couldn't even make a dent in them.

We... We let them down. Now their secret will be out in the open I thought. I was one of the eight children trusted with something called a Pokémon; a seemingly magical creature with control over an element - or even two. Everyone knew at least a thing about Pokémon; it was a world wide phenomenon (well, everyone apart from me, I had only played one of the games, and even then it was only for a bit, so I probably had the least knowledge out of us all). However, no-one knew Pokémon existed, apart from us eight. I recieved one of the newly-discovered Pokémon; Emolga. It was a small white flying squirrel with yellow wings and a short black tail. Emolga was the Pokémon I knew the best out of all 549 or something seeing as I had kept a real life one. But until I found a way to reverse it, I would actually be an Emolga.

We were also trusted with keeping these Pokémon a secret. We were doing a good job until Katsuryoku, my 'pet' Emolga, darted outside one sunny summer's day. A member from the Magical Creature Investigation Unit saw little Katsu accidentally. He reported back, causing a full-on investigation for more real life Pokémon. Their aims? To collect them, to learn more about them. Soon, they found me and the rest of the children. They took us captive - along with our Pokémon. I could only have a quick glance at the Pokémon the children had, and I only remembered faint details of them. There was a grey and black dog, a brown fox-like one with a beige mane of fur and tail-tip, a green and yellow, smily, sunflower-like one, a creature that seemed like a mirror, a light-blue one that looked like a penguin wearing a cape, a blue upright dog and a red fox with six tails. I didn't know any of the species names, apart from the red fox's species name, which was Vulpix. The children were all transformed into the Pokémon they were taking care of.

When they found us, they transformed us into Pokémon because they wanted to see how we'd cope as a Pokémon. But I knew the reason was far more sinister than that. One night, I heard them talking about how they wanted to 'keep those kids as Pokémon while we spread the news so that they kids wouldn't interfere'. I knew the term 'those kids' meant us. They hadn't done it sooner to see if we could escape, and we couldn't.

We needed to escape - and fast.


So... opinions? Yeah, I know it's pretty short, but that's what you get when you're too lazy to rewrite it and instead just copy and paste from something you wrote about a year ago with little edits.]]>
